The Envelope Please! The TOTAL RETURN winners are. (Part 2)
by Steve Gail

In consideration of the current world events, one might consider it not the best of days for humanity, as once again we find nations in the world facing war with one another. Unfortunately, as I have mentioned on many occasions, The heart of Wall street's veins flows a bright Green, and as such we as investors and Americans must hope that the brave men representing the US along with her real allies will prevail with as few casualties as possible. However, only those issues can be decided on the battlefield and only by those actively engaging in the confrontation. In the meantime, today's article will finish up our Grammy awards by examining the best TOTAL RETURN DRIP PERFORMERS for the year 2002. To be consistent we will utilize the same three (3) Main categories (Information Economy, Service Economy and Manufacturing Economy), with four subcategories under each, for a total of 12 separate awards to be given and honorable mention if they exist. Once again they are as follows:

Information Economy
Software
Hardware
Media
Telecommunications

Service Economy
Healthcare
Consumer Services
Business Services
Financial Services

Manufacturing Economy
Consumer Goods
Industrial Materials
Energy
Utilities

The criteria to determine our winners for BEST TOTAL RETURN DRIP PERFORMERS OF 2002 is the same criteria we used for Highest Dividend percentage yield, except we are looking at HIGHEST TOTAL RETURN DRIP that paid any amount of a dividend, regardless of yield. We are considering ALL Stocks that had a Dividend Investment plan in 2002 in the above sectors that paid a dividend. So without further delay, here are the winners and runners up in each of our sectored categories above. (Please take notice, once again, that the Telecommunications** and Software** categories had NO winner. In addition, several categories again, had only one (1) winner* and only one (1) runner-up. We also had one Multiple Best Winner for HIGHEST DIVIDEND AND TOTAL RETURN FOR 2002. (DIEBOLD - SYMBOL: DBD)

THE WINNERS ARE, for the HIGHEST TOTAL RETURN DRIPS FOR 2002 (#1 selections in each sector are noted in BOLD black.) THE WINNERS (EXHIBIT A)

It is good to look back often, to remind one of where they have been, however; we as DRIP investors need to always remember to stay focused and look ahead to the future and always keep our eyes open for opportunities that may present themselves to us in that may appear on the horizon at any time. DRIP investors always remember, even adversity can present opportunity. Keep both eyes and hears open.

Until Next Time,
